How To Calibrate a Digital Scale

Every digital scale has a different sequence of buttons you need to press to calibrate them

If you find or suspect that your scale is not working properly and you need to calibrate it we have scale quite a few scale calibration procedures listed here.  Most scales will need a know calibration weight.  Typically you can calibrate a scale at both zero (dead load).  And Span which is the known weight portion of the procedure.  So before you proceed with any of these instructions please have a known weight ready.  These instructions are for reference only.  Progressive Scale takes no responsibility for the use of these instructions.

Adam Equipment TFW 60 Calibration Procedure for TFW 60 Bench Scale 
Turn the Power OffTurn the power back on , during the counting from 9 to 0 press func/c key. The display will show "CAL" for a few seconds. While it is showing "CAL" press the SMPL,PRINT and TARE keys in sequence to enter the calibration section. The display will show "unload". Remove any calibration weight from the platform. Press ZERO/ENTER key. The display will show the last calibration calibration weight used. If this is correct you cn continue by pressing the ZERO/ENTER key. If it is not correct use the arrow keys to change the calibration calibration weight value. When it is correct press the ZERO/ENTER key. If the calibration is acceptable the displaywill show "PASS" and then retur to normal. If an error message is shown try calibration again as a disturbance may have prevented a successful calibration.

Digi Digi DC-150 Calibration Procedure for Digi DC-150 Counting Scale 
Press mode repeatedly until maintenance. Press and hold rezero then press 8715. release rezero press tare (right arrow key) till span adjust press enter the left of the display is the scale number to change this press + to the right of that is the scale capacity. To the riqht of that is the calibration calibration weight. The calibration calibration weight has to be entered with the same amount of decimals as the scale capacity. To change either number use the tare to highiite then enter new ualue. Once all values here are ok press enter. Empty scale push rezero add calibration weight push enter * press mode till operation press enter

Remove the large Philips or Flat Head Screw on the back of the indicator.  Using a straightened paper clip poke in the hole where the screw was.  Indicator will read "ConFiG" Press Right arrow (PRINT) twice to "CALibr"  Remove all weight from the scale. Press Down arrow (Gross/Net) to "WZEro" Press Down (Gross/NET) The display show "0CAL0" for a moment then it will display some numbers.  Press TARE to "WVAL".  Press down (Gross/Net) .  You will enter the calibration weight here.  To select the digit you want to change us the left and right arrows (UNITS or PRINT).  Use the up and down arrows (GROSS/NET or ZERO) to change the digit value. Once the correct calibration weight is being displayed press the TARE button to "WSPAn"  Put Known Weight on the scale.  Press the down arrow (GROSS/NET).  Scale will display "0CAL0" for a moment then a large number.  Press TARE.  Press the up arrow (ZERO) until "CALibr", Press Left arrow (UNITS) till "ConFiG" then press up arrow (ZERO) You are calibrated.

Rice Lake 920i Calibration Procedure for Rice Lake 920i Weight Scale System
Remove the large Philips screw on the bottom left of the scale indicator (Older Indicators Flat Head) .  This will reveal a 1/4 inch hole.  Use a ball point pen and press in poke into the hole and this will put the scale into configuration mode.  [SCALES] will be selected.  Using the arrows press DOWN to SCALE1.  If this is the scale you wish to calibrate press DOWN otherwise select the scale using the arrows and press DOWN. [GRADS] should be selected.  LEFT arrow to [CALIBR].  DOWN to [WZERO].  Remove  all weight from the scale and press the DOWN arrow.  Press the "Calibrate" button.  Indicator will say Calibrating Dead Load... Wait for Deadload Calibration to come back then press UP arrow to [WZERO] then RIGHT arrow to [WVAL].  Press DOWN arrow.  Using the numeric keypad, enter the calibration weight you are going to place on the scale then press "enter". [WSPAN] should be selected.  Place known weight on scale and press the DOWN arrow.  Press the "Calibrate" button.  The scale will say Calibrating Span...Once it comes back to Span Calibration you are done.  Press the UP arrow back till [SCALES] then press "Save and Exit"

Press the TARE key 1 time to get [ZERO]
Remove all weight from the platform 
Press the SELECT key one time to get weight flashing
Press the PRINT key one time [2 in 1 P] then [0.00]
Press TARE key one time to get [ZERO]
Press TARE key one time to get [SPAN]
Press SELECT key one time (if you get CLR then press the f (OK) key)
Add calibration weight to the scale
To edit the weight
SELECT will select the digit · PRINT will edit the digit (scroll up)
Press the f (OK) key to get 5in P then the weight will show
To save Press the select and power again and hold till saving.
